Based on the Japanese PlayStation game, this is the story of Warrius Zero, a Captain in Earth's space fleet who lost his family in the war against the mechanized people. Sent by the now-defeated Earth government to hunt down the renegade Space Pirate Captain Harlock, he finds that Harlock, like himself, is a man of honor.
This is the Gun Frontier. It is a harsh and barren wasteland, where the weak aren’t even allowed to dream. It is also a sacred land for true men, for there is no place a man can feel more alive. This is the Gun Frontier. Based on the classic manga by Leiji Matsumoto, join Harlock and Tochiro as they journey through the Old West in search of answers to a mystery. I've been actively following this series and I highly recommend it.
Although these Galaxy Express 999 graphic novels do not feature Harlock as the main character, he does make an occasional cameo experience in them. Galaxy Express 999 is another classic series by Leiji Matsumoto (the creator of Harlock) and is worth checking out in its own right.
